The Band

I think the complex chemistry of these diverse people is what makes Run Devil Run special.  They share a passion for the music and a bond of friendship.

Jeremy Aric Guitar and vocals
Tom “Domo” Domaracki Guitar, vocals
Jackie Joyride Bass, vocals
Dave Plesh Drums, vocals

Chicago native Jeremy Aric joined the band in July 2008 doing vocals as well as guitar.  He grew up in a musical family, started writing songs at age 8, and has been studying guitar and playing most of his life. He got a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in classical guitar from the University of Wisconsin before moving to LA to start his career as a musician.

Californian Tom Domaracki was present at the birth of the band that became Run Devil Run. He played in a number of other bands–including some with former band members—but somehow ended up here, probably because this is where he really belongs. :-) Throughout the band’s transformation he’s remained solid, a rock guitar god who (IMHO) doesn’t solo nearly enough. ;-)   But that, too, may change. ;-)

Jackie Joyride: Jackie replaced Sally Hope on bass in early 2010 after Sally had left to pursue other opportunities.

Dave Plesh is the man on the drums. After auditioning a vast number of drummers, the band found Dave Plesh right next door neighbor. Dave was in a band that had an adjoining room at their rehearsal space. He heard them blasting through the walls and coming down the halls from the very beginning. After looking all over the country for the drummer, they found him hiding in plain sight. ;-) He’s a vegetarian and doesn’t smoke. In his case clean living translates into clean rhythms. :-)

Postscript: The genesis of Run Devil Run was the now-defunct band Poets and Pornstars. As PnP was gradually transformed by new band members and songwriters, a name change followed this natural progression.  I blogged about Poets and Pornstars on a now-deleted fansite blog called Reckless, Pretty & Wild. Following their fresh start as Run Devil Run I closed down the old blog and began this new one. :-)
